Prices, Minimums And Terms Before You Email

Serious buyers should not need three calls to find the floor of a budget. These are current guide rates for work booked with Xenofex in Bristol.

Compositor day £650 Per artist day, 2 day minimum.
Motion designer day £720 Per designer day, 2 day minimum.
Supervised studio review half-day £360 Bristol review room, calibrated monitor, notes and export time.
Title sequence design and delivery £4,800 to £18,000 Typical range, depending on length, versions and rights clearance.
Product animation, 15 to 30 seconds £3,200 to £9,500 Assumes supplied CAD or clean product photography.
Shot clean-up, screen replacement, paint and simple roto £95 per hour Minimum booking 6 hours.
Rush loading +35% Only when accepted for work required inside 48 hours.

Booking Terms

Minimums And Payment

  • Minimum project booking is £950 plus VAT.
  • 40% deposit books the start date.
  • 40% is due at first approved motion test.
  • 20% is due before final unwatermarked masters.
  • Two rounds of amends are included unless the estimate states otherwise.
  • Further amends are billed at the relevant hourly or day rate.

Cancellation

Held Time Is Still Time

If a booked start date is cancelled after the deposit has been paid, completed work and committed studio time are invoiced against the deposit. Larger bookings can carry project-specific cancellation terms in the estimate.

Master Release

Review Files Are Not Masters

Watermarked review files are supplied during production. Final unwatermarked ProRes, DNxHR or image sequence masters are released after the balance payment has cleared.

Small Clean-Up Pack

£950 to £1,900 plus VAT

Ten to twenty hours of simple paint, screen replacement or roto across a small batch of locked shots.

Supplied CAD, one core animation, product materials, simple callouts, one master ratio and one cutdown.

Travel And Meetings

Bristol First, Remote By Default

In-person meetings are included within 20 miles of central Bristol. Bath, Cardiff, Swindon and London are possible with rail time and fare billed at cost. Most reviews are remote, using dated H.264 files and written notes.

Invoice And Archive

VAT, Due Dates And Project Records

All prices are quoted plus VAT. The deposit is due before the start date is held; the second invoice is due at first approved motion test; the balance is due before final unwatermarked masters are released. Xenofex keeps practical project notes, but clients remain responsible for retaining final masters unless an archive period is agreed in writing.
